Built by operators, not just engineers. CONVOY™'s founder is a Fortune 500 executive operations leader with 20+ years in manufacturing, logistics, and SaaS — plus four generations of operational DNA from a 1958 family trades business.

A $1 Trillion Industry Running on Spreadsheets

The live events industry generates $1 trillion annually, with $75 billion spent on logistics alone. Yet 85% of tour managers still coordinate million-dollar tours using Excel, email, and phone calls.

Hours Lost
To manual routing
Tour managers still route by hand across Google Maps, checking drive times, hotel distances, and venue specs across scattered tools.
Budget Drift
Surprise overruns
Poor tracking leads to costs that surface too late. No real-time visibility into burn rate versus tour progress.
Gear Goes Missing
At every stop
Equipment gets left at venues because manifests live on paper or in scattered spreadsheets. No centralized tracking.
Scaling Ceiling
Hard to grow
Tour managers hit a wall. Spreadsheets and email chains do not scale. More tours means more chaos, not more revenue.

From the Road, Not the Boardroom

CONVOY™ is not a startup idea. It is family history. My grandfather founded Straughters Plumbing and Heating in 1958 in West Point, Mississippi after completing his apprenticeship at Master HVAC building systems that outlasted the builder. My father promoted concerts across the Deep South in the 1980s and 1990s, moving talent and equipment through phone calls, fax machines, and handshake deals. I grew up in a family of avid concert attendees who understood that the magic on stage depends entirely on invisible infrastructure behind it.

I spent the next 20 years as a Fortune 500 executive operations leader managing supply chains, coordinating multi-site operations, and watching legacy systems fail under real-world pressure. Then came the phone call from my son, who oversees logistics for a college football team today. His workflow: Excel sheets that crash, vendor calls that go to voicemail, equipment manifests that live in three different inboxes. The same day, I interviewed a tour manager in Nashville who described the exact same chaos. Two industries. One broken infrastructure. Four generations pointing to the same truth: the tools haven't changed in 40 years. That was the moment CONVOY™ stopped being an idea and became a mission.

This is not academic research. It is family history. I have watched spreadsheets crash under real load. I have made the phone calls. I have paid the overruns. CONVOY™ is the tool we wish we had four generations ago.
